When do I need a Beta Reader?

I suggest doing a call for beta readers after you have completed your first draft, have received alpha reader feedback, done your developmental edits, and are comfortable with how your story is shaping up!

 

Start collecting beta reader feedback with enough time to apply changes before you send your manuscript off for line and copy editing.

 

There are free and paid options when you reach this stage in your editing journey.
